BAOJI, Shaanxi — On May 20, 2026, the Titanium Industry Innovation-driven Development Conference was held in Baoji, marking the 60th anniversary of the commissioning of Baoti Group Co Ltd.

Guided by the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, the Shaanxi titanium and titanium alloy industrial chain task force, and Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Holding Group Co Ltd, the event was hosted by Baoti Group and supported by relevant industry associations, research institutes, and local authorities. More than 500 representatives from government departments, academia, industry leaders, and research institutions attended.

In the opening session, Wu Qunying, Chairman of Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Group, highlighted Baoti’s decades-long contribution to China’s titanium industry through technological innovation, product system development, and industrial security assurance. He called for accelerating high-end, intelligent, green, and integrated development to foster new quality productive forces and build a stronger industrial ecosystem.

Baoji Municipal Party Secretary Chen Xiaoyong noted that titanium is a core pillar of Baoji’s industrial economy. He emphasized Baoti Group’s global leadership in titanium production and its role in formulating over 90% of China’s national standards in the sector. Baoji will continue optimizing its business environment and strengthening industrial chains to build a world-class titanium cluster.

Ren Guo, from the Shaanxi State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, stated that Shaanxi is advancing the construction of a 100-billion-yuan-level titanium industrial cluster and urged Baoti Group to further enhance its leadership in high-end and international development.

Duan Debing, Vice President of the China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, praised Baoti’s 60-year contributions to national defense and major engineering projects, stressing that the industry is entering a key window of opportunity under the 15th Five-Year Plan. Yang Guanjun, leader of the provincial titanium industrial chain, called for deeper integration of innovation, industrial, talent, and capital chains to strengthen China’s global competitiveness in titanium.

Three academicians delivered keynote reports on advanced titanium alloys, metal matrix composites, and superconducting materials, outlining frontier technologies and future industry directions. Baoti Group Chairman Wang Jian presented a comprehensive review of the company’s 60-year innovation journey and strategic outlook.

During the conference, Baoti Group signed 20 strategic cooperation agreements with partners across the industrial chain. Several new companies in materials, equipment manufacturing, and trade were officially launched, further strengthening the Baoti-centered industrial ecosystem.

Participants also visited Baoti Industrial Park and historical exhibitions to review the development of China’s titanium industry. The Baoti Science and Innovation Park project was launched, and a commemorative gala celebrated the company’s 60-year legacy.

The conference concluded with a shared vision: to advance China’s titanium industry toward high-end, intelligent, green, and globally competitive development.
